If you have a canoe, this is the place to go canoeing. It is so calm and peaceful. In the Fall, the foliage along the little reservation is beautiful. It is also wonderful to watch the horses play in the pastures.
Fairly small reservation with a little less than 2 miles of trails. Most of the trails are mowed fields out in the open (can get hot on a summer day). Very scenic with beautiful stonewalls and big grassy fields.
Just a beautiful place ! Walk there many times with my 2 dogs quiet, beautiful a great place to relax.
My favorite place to kayak so I almost hate to give it such a great review for fear that it won't stay quiet.

Moved into the town of Rochester in 2006 not realizing at the time there was so much land preserved. There are many parcels with trails for hiking, horse back riding, biking, and local ponds for fishing. Rochester is my final destination and my primary residence.
This is such a beautiful part of Rochester, MA. It is idyllic for Fall foliage photography with a wide selection of subjects and scenery to photograph. Leonard's pond is probably one of the beautiful places to photograph.

On Leonard's Pond, the farm gleaming with yellow buildings is so storybook picture like. Quiet country area. Perfect for that Sunday ride with the family. Very relaxing. Easy trail to walk, farmstand and they even had ice cream!
Very pretty area - the trails are well maintained and marked - nice parking area too. Dogs must be leashed. You can walk on the open trails or go into a wooded area as well.
