First-- it's the North Atlantic. If you're here in the summer and want to go swimming, brace yourself (or go over to Brewster, where it's warmer). This is a gorgeous beach for walking. Windy and cold in the winter, but beautiful in a basic, elemental...More

Cold dark winter sea. Worth a walk if not too windy. You may see a seal or two, and in the spring a whale.

Visited at the start of June while it was still too cold for a swim or tan, but couldn't miss it. As soon as I arrived, saw 6 adorable seals swimming close to the shore! However, we were warned to keep away from them as...More

Even in the winter months, Race Beach has spectacular sunsets that will warm your heart! It's windy and cold so bundle up...and yet it is sooooo worth the effort. The sunset will absolutely infiltrate your senses with joy and wonderment!

Fun to show to visitors who don't get to see the sea often. Sand, wind, water combine to instill wonder at coastal living.

No other sunset takes my breath away like Race Point. No place revives my soul like Race Point. I traveled a bit over 300 miles solo just to see it.

A great end to our great day in Provincetown. We drove to the beach in early evening and it was brilliant. Easy to park and to walk onto the beach. A fabulous walk in the beach. A brilliant sunset in a fabulous location.

We stopped here at the end of our day trip to Provincetown. The beach, the grass-covered dunes, and the ocean all provided a lovely setting. You can swim, walk along the beach, or just sit and watch the waves come in and out. It was...More

I think it is a bit early for the blue mat. It would probably be better to wait until May 15 or so. There are two places I think the mat may be placed, one is behind the toilets and changing building where there is a... More
