Yes it s irregular and you do need to have reasonably sure footing, but the 30 minute crossing on well laid huge boulders is well worth it. The views are really good along the way. I'd suggest you continue past the end to the beach, where a number of people su bake (few swim) and we were lucky to see... More

We hiked the causeway to Wood End light on a glorious Saturday morning. Blue skies warm breezes made it very enjoyable. It is easily one of the best things you can do while in P-Town. A few words of advice, wear good footwear as the surface is uneven, plan to go 2 hours before or after low tide if you... More

Let me begin with a warning: do not be fooled by the first one hundred or so yards of this stone-spined walkway. That part was constructed so that the young and the not-so-young could revel in the adventure that entails leaving the pavement behind for a jolly jaunt with nature. This break-ankle breakwater was designed by someone with a sadistic... More

My favorite thing my boyfriend and I did while in P-town! Beautiful views! Plenty of picture opportunities! Quite a tiring walk but worth it! Definitely walk over to the lighthouse at the end of it! I would return in a heartbeat!!!

This spots offers so much! The breakwater not only offers a great hike but it also gives a different perspective of the town as you look back. The breakwater itself is about 1.25 miles. Once across there are several options. You can relax on a quiet strip of bay beach or hike the 10 to 15 minutes to Wood End... More

A W E S O M E !!!!!! a 1.2 mile (one way) walk out to the outer most beach of Cape Cod - do part or all of the walk. It's not all flat but it is all worth the effort. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes, bring drinking water and wear sunscreen! And if it is dead low... More

The Provincetown Causeway is a great place walk to get to the outermost beaches at the tip of Cape Cod. It also offers some of the most beautiful views of Provincetown, the bay, the wetlands and beaches. Although it is uneven with the large boulders it's great exercise and the walk from the parking area at Provincetown in across the... More

My Girlfriend and I walked out on the causeway. If you walk to the end you end up on long point beach. It's quite the hike but when you get there you have a beautiful beach that is nearly empty of people!

We've been trying to find a spot to park up here for years - this year we finally got a spot during low tide. We didn't walk all the way over since we didn't have the proper footwear (I wouldn't recommend going in flip flops, it's a bit rough on the large boulders at times) but it was cool going... More
