You have to watch your step on the granite blocks that form the causeway out to Wood End and Long Point (the iconic "hook" at the tip of Cape Cod). You will pass fishermen and women, parents with children, artists and people who just want...More

Very busy seaside town at the end of Cape Cod. Quaint buildings with virtually predestination only access down Main Street. Plenty of variety shops and restaurants. Parking a bit of a night mare. Suggest taking last exit off highway 6 to enter town. Closer to...More

Had a wonderful time visiting Ptown. Great food, entertainment, beach and walks. We had a rental car but opted to drive, Uber, taxi and take the bus.

I love causeways. I also love byways and expressways. I'm not really much for bridge spans or lanes (who am I kidding, I love all that stuff).

The causeway is a must see place to add to your trip even though P-town is my least favorite town on the Cape. It's commercial, touristy and crammed with people. The causeway is the exact opposite of that. You can find it a mile out...More

You need to be sure-footed and know the tide schedule, but the views are spectacular! Large flattened, irregular boulders create a giant cobbled path. But wear good footwear and watch your footing. Watch for tide times to assure a dry trip. It's a beachcomber's delight...More

Yes it s irregular and you do need to have reasonably sure footing, but the 30 minute crossing on well laid huge boulders is well worth it. The views are really good along the way. I'd suggest you continue past the end to the beach,...More

We hiked the causeway to Wood End light on a glorious Saturday morning. Blue skies warm breezes made it very enjoyable. It is easily one of the best things you can do while in P-Town. A few words of advice, wear good footwear as the...More
