nice place to walk around

we walk to the wharf many times every time we come here. It is well maintained, dog friendly with plenty of vendors and stores.

Loved the view of the water and on the opposite side the view of Provincetown. You can catch a boat from the pier and go to Boston, the fishing charters go from this pier as well

MacMillan Pier is a “must see” when visiting Provincetown on Cape Cod. The pier is home to many restaurants, theater, small craft shops, a pirate-themed museum, and the location for fishermen to unload their catches. When we were there, a boat filled with large lobsters was unloading and the lobsters were on their way to grace the tables of restaurants... More

In early April Provincetown was all but deserted. We took the occasion to drive out to the end of the pier and visit the fishing vessels. There was off season free parking in the town lot which is packed in the summer. It was nice to view the Provincetown waterfront at twilight.

A must when you go to Ptown. Whale watching was great and sailing was relaxing and fun. Artists exhibit their wares along the pier.

On a quiet November evening as the sun is setting with the fishing boats tied up at the pier this is one peaceful location.

Our pleasant off season visit to MacMillan Wharf did not seem as touristy as the rest of Provincetown; especially since all the tour operators took the season off. We enjoyed walking, feeling the sea breeze on our faces and looking at the fishing boats and docked boats. It was nice visiting without the crowds. Municipal parking was free off season.

Nice place to sit on the bench and enjoy the boats and the beautiful wharf. There are many photo spots walking up to the end of the wharf. We took one with me sitting on a whale statue. Enjoyed the time sitting on the bench watching the birds and the people. We came with a bus tour and had 3... More

If you come by one of the ferries, this is where you will land. There are many interesting art vendors along the wharf, besides the many beautiful boats.

We loved walking out on the Wharf, a popular place. You get a birds eye view of fishing vessels, the high speed ferry, and the Whale Watch boats. It's old, but sturdy, and has New England Charm. Plenty of places to sit and watch the birds, and people watch. You can walk to the very end, and breathe in the... More
