This street has many historic buildings. It’s a beautiful sight to see. It’s right by the pilgrim memorial park. There’s also lots of restaurants a block up from there

Walked around during the evening for a ghost tour. It is so pretty at night. We took lots of pictures in hopes to see a spirit lol. We had a great time regardless!

The fact that when you are on this street you realize that this is the first street in the US and you are truly walking where the Pilgrims walked. It's hard to not see this if you are in Plymouth as it is kind of in the middle of the historic area. Close by to many, many things and you will walk it if you take the Ghost Tour. We drove and walked it. Make sure you look at the signs on the houses that tell you who lived there. A must.

We just happened upon this historic street. So glad we did. A lot of historic homes and buildings on the street! We actually had lunch in one of the buildings. GREAT visit!

Think about that. This is the very first street in America. This is where the Pilgrims lived and worked and called home. There are plaques on the houses with information about who lived there and when. Very interesting to see how the town was laid out. It's worth the 10 min to walk down and read the plaques.

When the Mayflower pilgrims established the Plymouth colony, this was the street, the only street. It was renamed First Street when the colony grew enough to have a second street. It was eventually renamed Leyden Street to commemorate the city in Holland where they resided before making the voyage to Plymouth. Don't walk too fast or you will miss the markers which explain who lived where and when. I highly recommend booking one of the local tours with a knowledgeable guide who will vastly increase your appreciation for the significance of this stretch of pavement. The street is an easy walk from Plymouth Rock and other sites in the center of town.

We actually stumbled across the street on accident. We had been looking for parking to go down to see the rock, once we found it, our path took us down Leyden. So much history. Read the markers on the side of the houses. I'd recommend walking it, don't try driving it.

Just to know this was the beginning of a community that grew into a nation is crazy enough. Lots of original structures here as well.

Very interesting street seeing where the city began and who lived there with plaques showing the inhabitants. I found the whole history of the Pilgrim Fathers quite intriguing and it was good to see where it started.
