Nauset beach is a very nice beach but it is pretty rocky and shell covered. This beach is supposed to be excellent for finding sea glass unfortunately we did not find any but we did find some very pretty shells. $20 to park is a...More

August visit on a cool day. Wide sandy beach with lots of seals (and, therefore, sometimes sharks) off the beach. Liam's seafood shack offers a wide variety of fried seafood, burgers and shakes. $20 per car to park for the day.

We mainly visit Nauset Beach because we wanted to see the lighthouse and in order to park and go to the lighthouse you have to pay $20 at the beach parking area as there is no other parking. The beach itself is a bit rocky,...More

Beautiful beach; $20/day parking charge unless you have a residents' sticker. Crowded near entrance, but head left or right and you'll have plenary of elbow room. Shark sightings kept us out of the (chilly) surf but watching seals cavort close to shore was such fun.

Generally the water is cold with an average of 65 degrees. They Bay is warmer and depending on a late tide and sunshine but a late high tide on the bay can make the water feel like bath water

There are sharks. Since there are seals they are there. Caution and common sense are the key. Life guards keep a pretty good watch if they are in the area and will let swimmers know. The fee was $20 and it also gave you... More
