I put my kayak in at the Hemenway Road boat ramp - easy in and out, with free parking (along the street - need a sticker for the lot). I paddled to the left, through Salt Pond Bay then Nauset Bay. Then south paralleling the shoreline. I stopped at the break for the open ocean and walked around to the... More

Think about shooting this area from the coast guard station to the north. I found it best to use a 200-300 mm lens. Wonderful results!

A beautiful microcosm of cape cod! Great place to Kayak and boat, fish and swim. Warmer than the ocean and really sweet. Lots of nice and classic cape cod homes. Cottages actually.

The Inlet is not Nauset or Coast Guard Beaches. Located in Eastham, and accessible only via boat or by walking north from Nauset Heights in Orleans, you will find a narrow slot in the barrier beach with a swiftly flowing current. Although beautiful, it can be dangerous to inexperienced boaters as the currents empty into the breakers and surf of... More

Just a stretch of water, that is like saying The Mona Lisa is just a picture. This little piece of water is peace and quiet, with a hint of magic and beauty thrown in to keep you spellbound. We just sat for an hour or so just relaxing, if you can go and see it.

Not much more to say other than it is a great place to look at. Get out and put your toes in the sand. Along with Nauset Beach this is Orleans at it's best. The snack shop at the beach has pretty good food too.

This is one of the treasures of the town of Orleans. The beach constantly changes with each storm that passes our way. This is a barrier beach to the far east of our town.

It was a gorgeous day, seals, birds, sail boats and sun! Sand is white and clean, great waves! We were there in September, not crowded and free. We loved it!

Put in at Salt Pond town landing, beautiful place to paddle, just watch the tides. Great place to spend the day.
