We have hiked Peaked Mountain many dozens of times, both with and without dogs. The main hike to the top of Peaked mountain and back can be done in under 1 hour, but lingering on top for a snack or lunch allows one to see beautiful views from North West to South East. If one travels south from the summit,... More

The hike up the mountain was not too strenuous but it was a bit steep and rocky. The views at the top were awesome and unexpected. Loved it!

I recently moved here for the summer from Florida and found this gem of a hike! You can make this hike as challenging as you like... Straight up or skirting the mountainside to the top.... At 1229 ft it's just like a real mountain complete with rocky crags near the summit.... The great part of this is it's so close... More

We've been to the Peaked Mountain Reservation several times, and the views are still impressive. There is an ample parking lot on the east side of Butler Road, and usually there are trail maps in the kiosk. There are a number of intersecting trails on the mountain, and although they are well marked (numbered), a map is very helpful. There... More

Great place to hike. Easy hike for kids. Dogs are allowed which is what attracted me here. Perfect view.

A well marked trail system provides several loops for hikes. A pleasant surprise and so close to Springfield MA, something I did not expect to find outside of the Berkshires. A great family experience.

This was an easy hike that is out of the sun with a great view of the surrounding area at the top. I highly recommend it.

I had never hiked Peaked Mountain until recently with a local Hiking Club. It was a delightful hike. Not extremely challenging...I wouldn't be able to do an extremely challenging trail! Peaked Mountain has gorgeous, clean and well marked trails with views which appear to be well used by individual hikers, groups, families and their pets! By choosing different trails &... More

The trek up Peaked Mountain is an easy climb...not too steep and it is a pleasant trial. In Fall I would think it would be beautiful. Once on top there is a very nice view of the area. This would be a nice way to spend a day in the country! I enjoyed it.

We just took our first trip to the top of peaked mountain, and I know we'll be coming back often. The hike was moderately challenging on the way up, but it took us no more than 20 minutes at a brisk pace to reach the summit. From the top much of south western mass is visible including a slice of... More
