Have lived a few miles from the Blue Hill Reservation for years and have gone up and down the Blue Hills trails numerous times. But I had never walk around the Ponkapoag Pond. Somehow I read about the boardwalk and off we went. The Trail...More

The reservation is a gem that's super close to Boston, full of side-trails and tons of scenery. The skyline trail can be a bit challenging for a beginner, considering the steepness of some boulders and some running creeks, but worth the trek. Plenty of parking...More

You can find trails galore at the Blue Hills Reservation, maps are available as well as trail markers. The some areas are steep and there are large rocks to climb over or around as you work your way up hill.

Wonderful hike to the top of Big Blue! Three of us hiked together (and one of us is a cute dog!). We had so much fun. The hiking was a little more challenging than I expected, which was fun. So many friendly people and dogs....More

Beautiful hiking paths, climb to the top of Big Blue and visit the weather station and gift shop. The views are magnificent. On a clear day you can see Boston, the Harbor and surrounding area. The Trailside Museum is a great family spot too.
