Blues Cafe is a monthly social event that specializes in vintage American jazz dances. Held on Saturday nights, it often has live swing bands from Boston or DJs from around the continental United States playing music from the Swing Era to satisfy even the most advanced swing dancer. At each event, local swing dancers perform, showcasing the best jazz and blues dance that Boston has to offer. Blues Cafe strives to provide a classy atmosphere for it's patrons to experience and enjoy American jazz dances. Beginner lessons are included in the price of admission and are taught by Boston's best instructors. Established in January 2008, Blues Cafe has consistently put on the most exciting swing dances in the area - reaching as far as Argentina and Australia to hire the best dancers in the world. Blues Cafe is held at Springstep in Medford. Springstep's mission is to celebrate dance and music traditions from cultures around the world.
