Great library, great staff! Plenty of exhibits, more books than you have time for, interesting murals too. I had to leave early due to snow storm, but wish I had more time!

This is a very nice museum and worth a visit. There were some gorgeous clocks, as well as a couple of other exhibits. Good parking and easy to find.

When my children were small, we visited the Museum on a regular basis. It is small, but the exhibits were always interesting. The Masons have downsized the displays tremendously in the past few years, but it is still an interesting spot to visit.

The National Heritage Museum has a terrific permanent exhibit about the Order of the Masons as well as wonderful exhibits about different aspects of U.S. history. For example, one time there was a great exhibit on the origins of women's undergarments. Another time they had an exhibit of ball gowns that were worn by wife's of the President. I highly... More

Being a part of free Mason some years ago. This was a surprise tour. Found some interesting pictures of the old craft. Neatly framed and so rich. My day was made and reminded me of the days when I was a Master Mason.

The National Heritage Museum is run by the Masons. It is not an extensive museum. There are only about three active exhibits at any one time with maybe 10 to 15 objects per exhibit. Some exhibits may be interactive and suitable for younger kids. It is not dedicated to the history of the American Revolution like one might expect. It... More

This is outside the center, so many tourists don't venture out to it. BIG MISTAKE!!!! It's spacious, with lots of grassy grounds to picnic on - buy a sandwich etc in town and then walk out to this or drive. Lots of easy parking. The museum is gorgeous- airy, with a tall ceiling feeling - the exhibits are spread out,... More

The museum is very informative with video to explain the revolutionary war. It worth an hour visit. Landmarks outside the museum and within walking distance include Revolutionary Monument and the battle green, and the library across the main road! I took bus to Lexington but I wish I could have driven there as moving around is not so convenient!

The Scottish Rite Masonic Museum used to be called the Museum of our National Heritage, and that former name reflects its purpose better than the new one. The museum specializes in small, well-curated exhibits of Americana--toys, the changing world of women in America, clocks, model railroads, lecture series on the use of maps and mapping in history and historiography, and,...
