Buckman Tavern is closed for the Season. We will be re-opening in March of 2016. This Historic Tavern is one of the few colonial era buildings still standing around the Battle Green and was used by the Lexington Militia on April 19th, 1775 as a gathering place. It is now a Museum with self-guided audio tours. Sorry for any inconveniences.

We used our Go Boston Card to go through the self-guided tour of the Tavern. We were each given a speaker system that explained what would have happened in each room of the tavern. Nice visit.

This was much cooler than the Hancock-Clarke House. It has some very cool exhibits and the tour was informative. Make sure you do this only on the 3 house ticket to save a LOT of money. Next walk to the Munroe Tavern.More

Didn't get to go in because of our late hour arrival. However, it was good to lay eyes on the historic tavern. Do your research and you'll appreciate just being here.

Furnished in the Revolutionary War period, Buckman Tavern hearkens back to the founding of America. Available as part of a combo tour with other buildings in the area.
