Beautiful walk along the Housatonic River where you can learn about local flora, fauna, and the town's most famous resident, author and civil rights leader W.E.B. Du Bois (1868-1963).

This is a really nice, easy, scenic walk that is right in town. I just wish it were longer. It's great for photographers or just to relax.

We did this walk and it was nice but much shorter than we thought. We ended up in town so walked town to make it more of a walk.

The river is lovely, but the walk is split into two sections, both of which are very short. Considering the abundance of scenery in the area, this seems a bit of a waste of time unless you just want a post lunch stroll for 10...More

It’s a lovely little walk of boardwalk along the river. It is short but certainly worth it if you are in the town of great Barrington

It was just a path following the river. Short , and sweet. No need to stop. Enjoy the rest of the Berkshires.

We had a little time to kill before leaving town, so we walked along the river. The River Walk was clean and shady, so it was a perfect break on a warm, sunny day. It was a quick walk with lovely views of the river....More

Lovely little walk along river. Two sections of about two blocks each. Some historical information panels. Would be more interesting if longer. Something the city should consider. Were looking foward to seeing this, but were somewhat disappointed.

Lovely, short walk along the river, easy to access from Main Street. Can appreciate the effort it must have taken to get town residents to approve this public walk in private backyards. Many thanks to those who agreed to share access so others could enjoy!
