good place for kids

This was a great place for the kids to have a lesson. The reservation helped to skip some lines. And the best part- the lodge food was very inexpensive compare to most places!

Amazed at how well they are able to groom the mountain. We will certainly be back! Great for families.

This is another of the many small hills on the east coast that has been equipped for skiing. As the other places within driving distance from NYC, it gets very crowded in the weekends. The lifts are kind of old and slow and it often takes a good 20 minutes to get up the hill (between waiting and travel time).... More

We went up with the family to try out the tubing. It was not worth the hour drive. When we called they said they had 8 lanes but there were only 5 when we got there. The line was insane and we waited forever. There does not seem to be any limit to the number of tickets they will sell.... More

After many years off the slopes I skied Butternut last season and loved the mountain for its easy & intermediate terrain, great staff and relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Over the summer I purchased a season pass and have been putting it to good use this season ! It may not be the biggest mountain in the world but it's a fantastic... More

I have taken my teenage sons here several times but more so due to the proximity to Connecticut - 90 minute drive from CT shoreline. For those who are new to skiing or consider themselves new to intermediate level - this is a good skiing destination. When we are looking for more challenging experiences and more diverse terrain we opt... More

This place was packed but staff managed to keep things moving at a fast pace and it was never long before your next slide down the mountain. Highly recommend for kids and big kids who are really adults.

If you are near the Berkshires and fancy an nice day out in the slopes, or if you are a family with children in driving distance this is a good option with a few fine intermediate slopes, ok snowmaking and low key unpretentious atmosphere. The food in the lower Clubhouse is awful but who cares! Even on busy days the... More

Decided to take my boy to see if he likes snow skiing. Tubing only on Fridays, Saturday . The staff in the rental hall were great. Fitted us out in full gear . Went out to the bunny slop. Attempted the junior slops, till we were all exhausted. Fun day and once we all learn to ski better , we... More

As a first time skier, this mountain was perfect! The staff was continuously supportive throughout the entire experience by offering tips and advice to get better along with many words of encouragement.
