Fun ski trip

Nice, fairly quaint. The kids' club/daycare is not conveniently located. Pleasant environment. No shuttle around parking lots.

My husband and I wanted to try snowboarding and we are glad we choose Ski Butternut. From our arrival till we left the staff was very kind and helpful. Liane gave us an overview of what to expect with the Beginner's Adult Snowboarding class. She also lead us to get our rentals. Our instructor Cole was GREAT!! He was very... More

While Butternut is a wonderful place for kids to learn to ski (mine had terrific experiences here), for the experienced skier the best that can be said is that it is not all that far from NYC or Boston, in a beautiful area. On holidays it gets pretty crowded, and while the lines move fast, they can get very long.... More

Overall, I would rate this ski place average at best. I brought my girlfriend and her 4 year old son and we learned quite a bit from our experience. First, be very careful on the drive up there, there were local cops all over the place so pay attention to the local speed limits they change rather quickly. Second if... More

Limited skiing terrain that can be crowded on the weekends. If you are in skiing in the Berkshires, you may want to check out a few other locations as well.

We have been enjoying skiing and snowboarding (and tubing) at Ski Butternut for MANY many years, and -while it is a relatively small mountain, they do a VERY nice job of providing a very nice Family-oriented experience

We decided to ski here before we went home. The lines were all managable and the kids had a blast. The only thing that could be fixed is the rental area. It moves at an average speed, but returns are crazy! We are definitely purchasing our own skis after this trip, which is good!

Ski Butternut is a local ski area in Great Barrington, MA in the Berkshires. There are some very nice runs with pretty views. This winter the natural snow was great along with their usual good snowmaking. The best part is their non-holiday midweek rate of $20 for a Senior lift ticket! When the conditions are good and the slopes aren't... More
