Stopped here on a rainy day when we couldn't take advantage of the beach. Toured through this eclectic former home and found it very interesting.

We took our three young kids to visit the castle. They love stories about princesses and nights. We bought foam swords and shields in the gift shop for a reasonable price. They pretended to protect the castle while we looked around. Our daughter pretended to...More

The grounds of the castle were nice but it was unclear where to go and a start and finish and the flow of the castle itself didn't make sense. Cool tents around the property and entertainment in the back of the castle. But it was...More

The castle was enjoyable to tour, would have preferred a guided tour to learn more information. We actually learned a very interesting fact from a guide in Salem Ma. on a witch tour. Worth the time but not easily accessible. No wheelchair entrance.

This attraction was closed on the Monday that we stopped by! The grounds were open and free to walk around. This place has a moat! No joke! Go take amazing pictures and sit on the back wall to enjoy the sea! Crazy, fun place and...More

How many opportunities do you have to visit a medieval castle? This is a fun place to check out. Best for older children and people who can navigate lots of narrow stairways

We visited the castle on our way to The singing beach, but we didn't have time to go inside the museum... that being said, the view of the ocean from outside and the castle itself is well worth the stop. Gorgeous!!

Hammond Castle, built by John Hammond for his wife, is made from pieces of 4 different European castles, and is truly a special treat to visit. Set right on the Gloucester coast, the castle has sweeping views of the ocean. The inside of the castle...More

Apparently the other reviewers went to a different castle. This castle is a disappointment on so many levels, it's hard to know where to begin. The parking lot is too small. Tickets are purchased at the gift shop which is a small hodge podge of...More

No this not a place for a wheel chair. Unless you just stay in the main area. Many rooms upstairs are narrow. That is to bad. A great place to visit.
