Cape Ann Brewing Company is an award-winning, family-owned, micro-brewery and the home of Fisherman's Brew. It’s Brewpub features the brewery’s award-winning craft beers brewed on-site, with a bar shaped like the port side of a ship. Long, German-style wooden tables and a sitting area with several rocking chairs create a mellow, laid-back atmosphere unlike anything else in the Cape Ann community. Classic board games are available for leisurely enjoyment. Local artist renderings adorn the wood-paneled walls and the large picture windows look out onto St. Peter’s Square where the famed St. Peter’s Fiesta is held each June.

After a day of birdwatching around Cape Ann three of us stopped in the Cape Ann Brewery for draft beers. We tried the Scottish Stout, the Fisherman's IPA and the Fisherman's Brew. All were very good. The stout had a nice malty flavor, the IPA was not overpowering and the Fisherman's Brew was an amber lager with a great balance... More

Picnic style seating, super causal with water front outdoor seating. The menu at first glance seams like its mostly fried food. Don't run away. The portions are huge and lightly battered. Sandwiches and burgers too. Also brew flights are not on the menu 6 for 8.50. I liked the Lobsta's trap. Hubby liked kook island and the fishermans pilsner. We... More

We enjoyed a nice casual dinner on the deck overlooking the Gloucester harbor. The food was very tasty and fresh; but I do have to add that almost every entrée started with the word "fried." Still, don't let that stop you, it was very tasty. It being a brew pub, we had to sample the products. I had a delicious... More

My husband and I love trying new beers and Cape Ann's did not disappoint! They even have a number of beer cocktails. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The food was just as good as their brews. I had steak tips, which were perfectly cooked. My husband had a surf and turf burger that actually had a fried whole... More

I had a beer mixed with bloody Mary mix which I luved, but the portions of seafood (considering they are feet from the boats) was much to expensive. I ordered a fish fry paid $4 more than I would inland at home and got half as much. Other meals in our party were about the same.

The food is always great, the service is excellent and there are always a number of beer choices available. The seafood is reliably fresh. In the summer you can sit at a picnic table outside on the deck. Year round you can sit at picnic tables inside or at the bar.

Went for dinner and their beer. I like IPA's and they had 3. The food was just ok and i enjoyed the beer until I tried the last IPA (my wife and I split the other 2 IPAs). The description let you know it was a knock your socks off kind of extra hoppy IPA. It was too out there... More

Amazing decor inside. Sit down on picnic benches, rustic and quaint with beer sings and logos. Very cool. A little pricey but you get a heap of Great Tasting Food. All kinds of Condiments are your table. Even outdoor seating with a plastic see through curtain wall to keep rainy weather out under an awning. Fries were totally awesome the... More

Get a beer flight and sit on the patio and enjoy. Don't bother with the food. Also, they don't serve wine and the iced tea is terrible. But get a beer!
