Leisure walk

Ran into this little gem. Very quiet and an easy walk. Beautiful spring day. I walked in flip flops.

Nice short walk behind Bass Pro Shops. Exit through Blue Fin restaurant. A few hilly areas, my 4 and 6 year old did fine. There are signs throughout with cranberry facts. Worth the 15-20 minutes.

I try to make the fall cranberry harvest where the volunteer growers are accessable to answer all your quetions about how a cranberry bog works and is maintained. Questions like with bogs that are 100 years old and have layer of sand put on them every season, how do they stay the same height?

It's small - .5 mile loop but very interesting. I have never seen a cranberry bog before. We went in the winter so there wasn't much to see but I still liked it. Would like to see it in the summer.

This is a great little trail around a small cranberry bog that is right behind Bass Pro Shop at Patriot Place. It mostly flat but the hilly part is very easy. You have the bog, some woods and of course fresh air. There's also a pretty cool sculpture of an elk on the trail too. This trail os easy for... More

After shopping at Bass Pro Shop we took our Grandson for a nature walk out back. It's a great 1 mile easy walk behind BPS. It goes through the woods, around a Cranberry Bog and a few ponds. There are wild painted turtles, and you can challenge the children to find them. We had a good time with him and... More

The Nature Trail and Cranberry Bog was an interesting stop. The read as you go signs answered all the questions we had about the bog and surrounding area.

This is a free thing to do in the area. There is a boardwalk behind the store that takes you across a swampy area. Here you will find a bunch of turtles chasing each other around. A little further down the trail is a cranberry bog with a couple of statues in it. Once you pass the bog you enter... More

I have seen this trail sign a bunch of times so finally decided to give it a try. It's really cute and there are placards along the trail to learn about the cranberry bog. We saw a bunch of turtles and fish and a lot of birds along the walk. The trail also goes through the woods for a short... More
