Perfect way to see the Cape: marsh, beaches and woods! Flat and well-maintained! The only 'negative' is that it can be too crowded during some points in the summer.

Our bike path is amazing! 11 miles from North falmouth to Woods Hole, passing bogs, beach, woods, stores, so much. Not a lot of elevation, it is pretty flat. There are a ton of people certain times of the year, best to avoid it if...More

I LOVE the Shining Sea bikeway. Plenty of parking at lots near the start of the trail. Surface is FLAT for ALL levels of bikers. Can get "busy" with children & strollers during peak hours. Beautiful scenery takes one to lovely & vivacious Wood Hole!

I remember when trains used to run on these tracks in the 1970s. Now it's a walk and bike path perfect for people who want to get outdoors and cycle and walk but don't want to deal with traffic. You can walk or ride your...More

We rented bicycles at Art's Bike Shop just a couple of blocks from the north entrance of the bike trail. Then enjoyed a leisurely ride with various stops checking out the scenery with a short stop at a snack shop. By the time we reached...More

What a great ride even for those that have not been on a bike in quite some time. Beautiful views! A one way trip is about 10 miles. We did a full loop and enjoyed lunch in Woods Hole when we had completed about 16...More

Drove from New York straight to Arts Bike Shop to rent bikes for this experience. Arts was perfect as it was two blocks from the start of the path. Much of the ride is through woods and backyard. We had a very windy day so...More

Biked this trail from Falmouth to Woods Hole. Paved with benches to rest and enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean and Marthas Vineyard. One of the best of the numerous Cape Cod bike trails. You won't be sorry if you give it a try!

About as simple as entertainment gets. Takes in some nice beaches in Cape Cod. My only criticism would be it takes you inland rather than staying on the coast and you have to cross a few roads.

We rented two bikes from Bike Zone in N. Falmouth which is right at the beginning of the trail and I believe we paid around $21 each to have the bikes for the entire day. They did a great job of adjusting the bikes for us.
