In early June the Rhododendrons were in full magnificent bloom. Just stunning. I so enjoyed the property acquired by Charles & Margaret Spohr in 1939. Their love for this special woodland garden overlooking Oyster Pond lives on through the charitable trust that allows the public...More

This is a gorgeous garden with many perennial plants which vary from season to season and scattered throughout are wonderful sculptures, large stone grinding wheels and a collection of anchors spread over the shore to intrigue you as you gaze out over the water.

Mr. Spohr collected notable old anchors which are scattered through out this enchanting salt water tidal garden. Was a notable local secret for many years but open to all and available for private garden parties or awesome wedding site!

This is such a lovely little hideaway treasure! Beautiful in March for Daffodil days and May when the Rhododendrons are out. Peaceful & tranquil little walk, very enjoyable!

This was a peaceful place to visit. There was not much blooming in August, but it would really be pretty when the rhododendrons are blooming. The nautical items placed throughout the garden were interesting. I don't remember exactly how many acres it is, but it...More
