Having been a young kid of 14 years way back when, I was fortunate enough to actually see the floating of the Battleship into the cove. I was further lucky enough to actually work as a guide and sleep on the ship a couple of times. This was when I was in a program called the Sea Cadets which was... More

Spent the better part of a day at Battleship Cove accompanied by 7 members of my family. 4 of my grandchildren were with me. We all had a great time exploring the boats and ships. Learning about P.T. Boats, traveling through a submarine, wandering around the. decks of a WW II Battleship being amazed at the size of the guns... More

The variety of things to do are seen as you visit. People walking, jogging or bike riding on the newly renovated boardwalk, or just relaxing on one of the many park benches to watch the sailboats out and about, there is always a very positive feeling there. From the south end Carousel and history buildings, the Battleship tours and swans... More

If you like history or naval things, this is a great stop. There are several types of boats to tour including a Russian/East German vessel. This is a good chance to see several classes of ships in one location.

Tremendous experience for our Cub Scout pack. Learned so much, was able to move about a battleship, submarine, 2 PT boats, helicopters, and a few other ships. Brought you back to another era, oh and btw we got to sleep over night with our pack. Try it with a group you will love it.

Surfaces were uneven, walk areas were rusted out and I had time walking around. But my husband really enjoyed it. He's a former sonarman and loves touring ships.

You can take your time touring through these magnificent ships to learn about naval life aboard. Travel to the top of a gun turret inside.. Amazing sight. See what the officer's quarters were like and the bunks of sailors as they traveled to defend the country. Great photo op.
