So happy to have been able to visit this church. I don't think I've been in a St. Elizabeth Church before. Loved the stain glass windows and beautiful statues.

Seeing the church - it was a really picturesque little scene - a lovely street and the church added a lot to its charm. Worth a stroll.

It is a beautiful and quaint church located in the heart of Edgartown. Unfortunately there was no mass because it was October. We hope to visit next summer when they are serving mass.

We visited this church while walking at Edgartown, and thanks that the doors were open for any person to visit, enjoy the beauty, sit and meditate for a few minutes of silence and peace.
We always visit this church that is open to public during daytime every time we come to visit the Vineyard..

St. Elizabeth’s Church is located on Main Street in Edgartown. Originally, it was part of the Good Shepherd Community on Martha’s Vineyard which included Our Lady, Star of the Sea in Oak Bluffs, St. Elizabeth’s in Edgartown, and St. Augustine in Vineyard Haven, Originally, St. Elizabeth’s was located on Pease Point Way but the increase in the number of parishioners in the summer resulted in a church being built on Main Street. The church foundation was laid in 1924 and dedicated in 1934. It became an independent parish in 1969. It’s beauty is its simplicity.

I was so happy to fine the Catholic Church open. It is an adorable little church -- much different from the big churches I am used to. A great place to rest and have a bit of quiet time.

This is a small catholic church in a Congregationalist community. Take a peek, it's cute and tidy otherwise do what tens of thousands of tourists do ... walk by. (No Kennedys were married here.)
