It's a short ferry trip but it does not take long before you meet dirt roads. We made the trip mainly for historic reasons.

3 minute ferry over for $6. Japanese garden is a must. Gorgeous beaches and off street bike paths. We went for a couple hours and just explored.

Loved taking our bikes on the short ferry ride to cycle around this picturesque quiet island in the off season. Cycled east (last part on a pretty good dirt road) down to the Trustees Mytoi property and beach. Lovely afternoon!

It's a short ferry ride over to the island, but there is almost nothing to do once there, other than drive over to the famous bridge. The only store on the island has a very nice and pleasant woman working there, but that's about it

We enjoyed taking the ferry to the island and biking to the beach. Be sure to bring plenty of water and food - you can't buy anything on the island. I wished I bought bug spray, we couldn't stay long at Mytoi because we were...More

I guess everyone goes to Chappaquiddick to see where the incident occurred. It is a beautiful island with a nice homes and estates. There's not much happening, but if you're there it's worth the short ferry ride in an hour exploring

Wildlife sanctuary with bird sightings. Lighthouse has lot of history , which is interesting too. We took the trustees tour and it was worth it!

Chappaquiddick is great to see by boat and by all terrain vehicle. The tour with trustee's is a great way to experience Chappy and climb the lighthouse which offers great views. Chappaquiddick is very beautiful with lovely homes and great views from the cliffs.

My family, including 2 kids (ages 8 and 10) are visiting MV for the 1st time around the 4th of July. We'd like to spend some time on a quieter beach (we don't need many facilities). We will be bringing a car and bikes to MV. Is it better to wake up early and ferry the car to Chappy or is the bike ride do-able with kids?

There is no place to rest. Not even a convenient store. My sister and I didn't realize this and didn't even bring water with us big mistake. It's a nice bike ride - but make sure you bring provisions with you There are a... More

no it's about two miles down the road without a sidewalk. Do Not take a car across on the ferry during July or August as the line can take up to 2hours just to get on a three minute ferry ride.Once you get to Chappy use the... More
