Nice views. Don’t drive your vehicle onto the beach unless you have the proper vehicle. You will be fined and you will get stuck. Saw this happen.

Great place for a leisurely drive. Take the small 3-car ferry from the center of Edgartown. Rural, residential island with beautiful views. Protected land. No shops, restaurants or hotels. Some dirt roads. Must see the infamous bridge. Cool place like nowhere else. Worth a trip.

It was a beautiful day! We only stayed at the beach a short time, but the views were amazing and it was very clean!

We drove down to Wasque Point, wandered My Toi gardens, and took the Cape Pogue Lighthouse tour. Bouncing down the beach in an open truck bed was a cool way to see the sights.

The Chappy Ferry ride only takes a few minutes, 3 cars at a time ($12/car and one driver; $4/additional passenger). Definitely recommend you either take a car or a bicycle. There are no businesses on the island, so pack lunch or snack. Many of the...More

The best part of Chappy is the ferry over. Quick and efficient and fun by car, bike or foot. We biked for around an hour and honestly didn't see much. Paved road turns into sandy tough terrain before both reservation areas, so not great on...More

Rented a house for a week & loved this location. Very quiet, secluded & relaxing. Explored the beaches & trails. Visiting in September - we had the beach all to ourselves one day. Great place to get away from it all.

We rode bikes onto the Chappy ferry and did a little exploring on our own. Were not really sure if this is the best way to see this little island off of the Vineyard. Things seem very spread out there and there is no place...More

We borrowed some bikes and took the ferry over to Chappaquiddick for a look. The ferry ride for a bike and person is $6/person (which is round trip, you only pay going over, not coming back). The ferry ride takes less than one minute. Once...More

Visiting chappy is a little like visiting the other side of the tracks. There's nothing much to see and it's a bit of a rip off to take the ferry for 30 seconds across the water. Don't bother unless you're going to visit someone.
