We rode bikes onto the Chappy ferry and did a little exploring on our own. Were not really sure if this is the best way to see this little island off of the Vineyard. Things seem very spread out there and there is no place...More

We borrowed some bikes and took the ferry over to Chappaquiddick for a look. The ferry ride for a bike and person is $6/person (which is round trip, you only pay going over, not coming back). The ferry ride takes less than one minute. Once...More

Visiting chappy is a little like visiting the other side of the tracks. There's nothing much to see and it's a bit of a rip off to take the ferry for 30 seconds across the water. Don't bother unless you're going to visit someone.

This is a real treat. You get there by taking a 3 car ferry. Unreal and authentic. Great trip. See the Japanese gardens. Cross the historically significant bridge to large sand dunes that present great sunsets Then travel over to the beach by foot and...More

Loved going over to Chappy on the 3-car ferry.I imagine there is always a wait, but it's totally worth it. It's a great break from the hustle-bustle of Edgartown. There are beautiful beaches - found some really uniquely colored shells - wonderful foliage and lovely...More

Take the Chappy ferry from Edgartown to Chappaquiddick, then hop on your bike and go! This island is perfect for biking: only about 3.5 miles in length, almost flat, with beaches in multiple places. Bring a small amount of cash as they sometimes have people...More

We rented bikes and took them across on the ferry, which was fun! There are so few cars on the island, it felt very safe. It was a great day of seeing beautiful scenery while getting some exercise. You can visit the famous bridge and...More

The remote shoreline here is worth the trip from anywhere --some of the most magical photos I've ever taken are from here--no place like it on Nantucket or the cape

no it's about two miles down the road without a sidewalk. Do Not take a car across on the ferry during July or August as the line can take up to 2hours just to get on a three minute ferry ride.Once you get to Chappy use the... More
