Had a great time. Water is freezing but watching the seals swim by is all worth it. Not crowded and brought our two dogs who had plenty of other dogs to play with.

Thanks to to FDR for making it possible for all who have a lifetime Senior Pass to go to all national parks and beaches free. Nauset Beach gave me many precious memories of what NY beaches were like - beautiful and clean.

As with all the National Seashore beaches this beach was clean and beautiful. The only problem was the limited parking, You must arrive by 10:00 a.m. or you will be turned away.

This is the place to go to really get the Cape Cod feel. Be warned that there are a lot of stairs down the side of the bluff to get to the beach. Take your time, it is worth it. Beach is so big it is hard to feel crowded. You will have to pay to park. You can bring... More

This beach is quiet, expansive, no frills. Sand, surf and beach goers. Bring your own drinks and snacks. Rough waters, lot of pebbles and sizeable rocks. Good for sunbathing, pebble collecting and seal watching. There was a shark alert so we stayed out of the water. $20 to enter, limited parking. Clean restrooms and changing area.

Nauset light is a great beach on the National Seashore. Get there early as the parking lot is pretty small. Be ready to walk down a few flights of stairs that is the only way down to the beach. And bring some beach shoes because the shore can be rocky in areas.

We went to this beach in August 2016. Too bad it was overcast and the air was nothing but warm, but we swam anyway and had fun with all those surfs. We could see many seals very close to the shore - we discovered only later that this means sharks are not far! We arrived at 4:15 and the lady... More

Beautiful white sand, water was not too cold for swimming/body surfing. There was a fair amount of seaweed.
