Bathrooms seemed to be port-a-potties in the parking lot and you have to travel down a fairly steep hill to get to the beach, which also means you have to climb back up when you leave. I had a hard time walking in the water...More

The lighthouse has a free tour and the guides are volunteers. They do ask for donations but aren’t required. Inside is a little small but the view is amazing. The guides are informative and really care for the lighthouse.

So you are on Cape Cod eating Cape Cod Kettle Cooked potato chips and you realize while the chips are delicious, they made the Nauset Lighthouse not only their symbol, but created an iconic image for those not from the area. There is much to...More

If you live the beach but don’t like crowds Nauset is best in the morning. Parking is no problem and the tide is out.

If you are one that likes to see lighthouses then its a must. Chatham Light, Nauset and Truro are some are the best on the Cape. Iconic views from the top of beach and lighthouse.

You love the chips, you’ll love the lighthouse. It’s the prettiest on the Cape. Well maintained and exceptional, if you’re into lighthouses and their history.

I took a walk to the lighthouse from the beach. Certain days of the week they allow you to go in, but unfortunately I was not there on one of those days. The beach is very clean and has large waves.

Limited hours to go inside/take a tour but not really necessary to get the effect. Closest parking is a pay lot at the beach so park near the 3 Sisters lighthouses and make the short walk to Nauset.

Perched on a bluff high atop Cape Cod National Seashore, Nauset Light stands as a sentinel to a bygone time. The light itself is fun to tour. If the lighthouse looks familiar it may be because it is featured on the bags of Cape Cod...More

Unfortunately, the lighthouse is not open for tours, but viewing it from the outside is enjoyable. You can also see it from the beach below.

Sorry you didn't get a chance to go up in the tower. Volunteers give tours of Nauset Light from 4:30 to 7:30 pm every Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday in July and August.

Right now the 1986 beacons are shut off. The N.L.P.S. is replacing worn out parts. We will have it up and running as soon as the work is completed.Normally Nauset Light is lit 24/7 year round.

Dogs are allowed on the site if they are controlled as the National Seashore requires. They are not allowed in the tower itself.
