We went to this beach later on in the day and had the whole place to ourselves. After walking around for a bit we discovered horseshoe crabs were hanging out on the shoreline. Apparently the conditions were perfect for them to work on making smaller...More

We traveled to the Ridgevale Beach this past Saturday and had a great time. The beach is beautiful and there is an inlet that our grandchildren had a terrific time collecting crabs and small fish with nets in the tidal pools. It is a super...More

This is a sheltered beach with ocean access and a small creek, if you prefer large waves or looking for a place to surf this is not a place for you. If you enjoy swimming in calm waters or walking on a sandbar during low...More

This is one of the nicer beaches on the south coast of Chatham. Has a nice snack bar where they also rent Sunfish and Hobie Cats. We rented the latter and had a great time on a cloudy, windy day!

Through the years the beach landscape has changed but it has a wonderful inlet for children to play in and explore the sea life. Kids will easily be kept occupied.
