Geeat Beach

Niicest beach in Chatham. I usually go to Chatham week of Labor Day...so by Monday the crowds are gone...truly the best time of the year to visit the Cape.

Located a short drive from Route 28 on Chatham's south shore, This is one of the prettiest beaches on the Cape. Ample paved parking, bathrooms and a fee in season. Waters are shallow and warmer than the Atlantic beaches with very gentle waves on a typical day. Offers a wonderful one mile walk to the entrance to Stage Harbor and... More

Great spot to walk your dogs during the off season. Easy parking. Not crowded (in February). Smooth sand, gentle inclination.

The sunset from this beach is a must see. Plus it is a nice walk to a lovely lighthouse. And you can even collect some shells along the way.

Three couples gathered assorted dinner choices and headed for the beach.... The fog rolled in, but we loved the experience, the food and sand between our toes! It's a great beach!

This beach is nice for walking and finding shells. We saw some horseshoe crab shells. The beach is nice and Sandy. We were there after Labor Day, there was no charge and the beach was empty.

Hardings Beach is a wonderful spot for sunbathing, swimming and walking. The beach has lifeguards through Labor Day and plenty of parking. You can swim in the swimming area or outside the area with noodles and surf boards. Depending on Mother Nature, the water can be as calm as a bathtub or there can be whitecaps and waves. If you... Water was very cold, lots of seaweed and crabs and no waves! Expensive to park $20. You need to bring your own chairs and beds as there is nothing to rent. Was very busy and had to listen to others competing music.

We only had a few hours in Chatham and wanted to spend some time on the beach and also see the lighthouse. We opted for Hardings beach as I read reviews that the swimming was better than at lighthouse beach. The water was warm and calm but was brown and smelt of crabs! We drove up to lighthouse beach for... More

There are two parking lots at this beach. We prefer the far lot. Bathroom facilities are available. There's no food service, but an ice cream truck frequents the lot. We love that it's never terribly crowded and you can park almost on the sand, so going back to the car is never an issue. Our kids love to go to... More
