I've been coming to the Chatham Pier since early childhood. We used to go to watch the fishermen unloading their boats, and over the years, it has become a great spot to see seals stalk the fishermen. The seals and seagulls are not shy about looking for fish fresh off the boat, and the fishermen seem to indulge them. It's... More

Stopped to look at the pier and docks and ended up getting a very nice take out dinner. The service was very nice and the food was yummy!

We searched but did not find them :( We were dissapointed not to be able to take a boat ride to go see the seals and HOPEFULLY a shark. But the place is sooooo nice! I think we were there for an hour or more. Just looking at the fishermen coming back and enjoying the view. This is a very... More

Stopped for a short while to see the catch being brought in to the harbour (very efficient operation) and the seals waiting below the deck. Parking was much in demand but worth a wait. Even had someone on hand to answer questions and explain about the fishing fleet.

We were there the first week in November. It was fun watching the fresh catches of fish being unloaded and weighed. The seals were everywhere waiting for the decks to be swept off so they could catch a meal. The seagulls were there also, watching and waiting for their chance to snatch up something. Fun experience for young and old.

Even in off season, it was a fun place to visit to see very friendly seagulls and seals, and look out over the water and take a few photos.

We stopped by the fish pier and market to watch the sunrise, what we didn't expect was all the fish, seals and birds also enjoying the bay.

Although it was during the closing season, it fun and interesting to see the fishermen at work and families of sea lions gathering at the pier.

Great spot to appreciate Chatam. Fishermen were untangling their nets on the dock. We walked out on the docks, and saw 4-5 friendly seals swimming nearby. Almost better than whale watching. From the pier you can walk down the long beach toward Chatam Bars. A fun spot to visit.

We stopped at the pier at sunset to see if we could see some seals. We did and so much more. Great observation deck.
