This family owned farm allowed the opportunity to have fun learning something new! Our guide stood with us by the bog to explain the harvest then took us indoors to explain their main piece of machinery and give samples (dried cranberries, cranberry tea, etc). Parking...More

The cranberry bog tour was self-guided after a very informative explanation of the history and operation of a cranberry bog. We learned the difference between dry and wet harvesting and how each type of harvest is used. They also give a good presentation on the...More

Only 3% of cranberries are dry harvested, and this is one of the places. Very friendly gift shop and lots of information is given by the family members who work there.

Flax Pond Farm is a DRY harvest cranberry bog - only 3% are. They have a very interesting tour but they do not harvest by flooding the bog.

I guess I expected a little more from the tour. When we arrived we were instructed to walk out to the bogs and view the harvesting. The Flax Pond was dry harvesting and the next farm over was water harvesting which was accessible to view...More

Hi, I went with a friend using a discounted voucher. I really didn't know what to expect. The tour lasted about 2 hours. Our tour guide began with a history of cranberry growing and showed us some photos. Then we headed out to the bogs...More

We were warmly greeted by the owners of Flax Pond Farms. They shared lots of information about the industry. We watched a demonstration of some very old equipment that is used for the separation of the berries. They give information freely. Unfortunately for us, they...More
