Visited some friends camping out overnight at this place and I was impressed. It is a pretty large place with all sorts of camp sites with a few huge ponds inside the grounds with boat launches and fishing spots and beaches for swimming. The camp...More

For anyone getting a little bored with the gentle grades of the rail trail, the cycle paths in the park make a refreshing change. The paths are well signposted and mettled, and wind through the Forrest. Some of the hills can be a little steep...More

Have been camping here for many, many years. Family friendly and hospitable staff. Camp store pretty much stocks any necessities and then some. Due to its popularity it can be a bit difficult to reserve a site (All reservations are through Reserve America) but for...More

Nice park with beautiful views of a pond which has a small beach. We liked walking around. Parking was plentiful off season. However, beware of snakes! None of them are venomous but if you are afraid of them avoid the pond / beach area. We...More

Nice place for hiking or biking. Get a map or use GPS. Walking trails not marked well. Was nearly empty but probable quite busy in Summer.

There are no sites directly on ponds. You have to walk down a trail to them

In general the sites away from the water and further out are larger and will be more private. Check out areas 6, 6x and 7.
