Montgomery County has a jewel in Brookside Gardens. Spring is a glorious blaze of color as the gardens erupt into bloom, in a show that changes weekly. Summer brings a verdant landscape for walking pathways, admiring scenic details or rolling your kids down the hills. There are always flowering shrubs even in the heat of the summer season (when your... More

Great to visit in any weather. The indoor garden gives you a tropical feel during winter. Great location since it is just beside Wheaton Regional Park. It is free for anyone to visit. Donations are also accepted for maintenance. They only charge for the "wings of fancy" and "garden lights" if you want to check that out. From what I... More

What ever the season Brookside Gardens has something to offer to everyone. Beautiful Spring flowers, Summer butterfly exhibit, awesome Fall colors and the Winter Christmas light show. Easy to follow walking paths wind their way through the gardens. There are benches located throughout the gardens. Old or young will enjoy their visit. A good camera is a must. Snack bar... More

Made our annual visit to Brookside for the holiday light show they organize. The construction projects seem finished and parking places were still plentiful (but fill up very very quickly for the light display). The greenhouse had a wonderful model train display.

The grounds at Brookside Gardens are impeccable maintained. There is a perfect walking path that is one mile (l think) around a loop that is very scenic. Easy parking...benches to rest if so inclined...recommend!

With my freind and her two teenagers. We scrapped and idea to go to Longwood Gardens in PA this year to save the hotel cost and we're looking for a close alternative. Brookside was easy to get to, have a really nice light display and is very family friendly no matter the age. The fee is for vehicle not number... More

Even though it's close to home, always feel I've been somewhere else when a I get back from the Garden! I do avoid it in high season- early spring-when you can tell by people parking on the street that it's packed. Beautiful flowers, lots of Gardens within the Gardens w plenty of places to sit-shade no shade you call. Great... More

Brookside Garden is a beautiful park with lots of gardens, walking trails, reflection pool, fountains, art and wildlife. The Japanese garden area with a covered, open tea house is very colorful in the fall. You will find herons, frogs and Canada geese in and around the lake. There is no entrance fee! If you get a chance, stop by in... More

Choose any day of the week to visit this lovely, peaceful, and beautiful oasis in the middle of a busy metropolitan area. You would never know it is there, unless you have done your research. It is well hidden within a quiet residential neighborhood. Upon arrival, parking is usually plentiful, especially on week days, and week-ends, if there is not... More
