We stopped at Layton's Chance for a tasting while we were away for a girls weekend. It was raining so we weren't able to explore much on the outside but the inside store/tasting room was very nice. I loved that they had seats that you could sit at while you were doing your tasting, you don't see that very often.... More

We discovered their wines at last years "Wine In the Woods" festival and while in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake (I reviewed them as well) we saw a brochure for the winery. At the festival my wife fell in love with their Bo Berry Strawberry and immediately said we needed go to the winery! Everyone there seems to... More

We were celebrating a Girls Weekend with my friends from college from 30some years ago and decided to check out Layton's Chance. We were all so glad we did. Had a great informative tour, and then on to the tasting! We packed our own picnic lunch and enjoyed it with the picnic tasting of 5 wines. $8? Are you kidding... More

We stopped here on a trip because they are part of Harvest Home for camper van overnights- - a pet friendly vineyard= perfect. Pastoral drive in off off route 50 though lush farms. Beautiful lawn, cute little shop, nice bathrooms, award-winning wine (Farmhouse White) but on a hot day -- the cranberry and peach slushes were the big treat. We... More

I attended the first "Click and Cork" where the winery invited photographers to roam the winery after hours. It was a bit hot that day, but that's what wine slushies were made for! The staff were welcoming and they had marked a walking path through new and established vines. I had been to the winery before, but only for tastings... More

It's so worth stopping in. It is a great winery. Very pretty inside and out. Most importantly the wine is good. We have been there for tastings, tours, food pairings, paint night and the concert series in the summer. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable.
