This is the range that had the dog kennels on it that Heath Dorrell used to neglect and abuse three puppies. People working there knew about the puppies being there and knew he wasn’t taking care of them and did nothing to stop it. Do NOT give this place your business.

Very upscale and grounds are well kept. Has everything- trap, sporting clays - but no shooting range for pistols or rifles. Office and staff are very friendly. Would advise reservations for weekends. Take a friend or a business mate. Some selection of accessories. Lots of shade. Has carts for you older folks like me.

Very nice place. Went here with some friends for a fun day of clay shooting. Great prices! They have everything you need or you can bring your own gun and shells. A cheap way for 6 people to spend 3 hours of great fun! With a wide variety of targets and difficulty levels.

Last time there, we were a group of 6. Arrived mid-morning and discovered in short order about one half of the throwers were inoperative. Further nearly all of the trash cans were overflowing with shell boxes and shells all over the ground around and on the shooting platforms. Once we got through, I mentioned the issues to the manager on duty and she turned to one of the fellows standing around and began to chastise him for the transgressions. No other offer to address our issues just, quite frankly, a total bill that was very expensive for the shoot we experienced. I emailed them and related the visit ... they never responded and we will not be back any time soon.

Pintail point has so many stations to shoot clays, and you don't have to walk from station to station, you ride on a golf cart. The staff is friendly and along with throwing the clays on your command, the staff keeps track of your score. The property is absolutely beautiful and secluded from any commotion and distraction.

This month I had the opportunity to visit Pintail Point on 2 separate occasion.

The first was a benefit shoot. They are very community focused, providing a location, resources and staff to assist. It was a great opportunity and the facility was well organized with many helpful trappers. I enjoy shooting there whether in a fundraiser or just for fun.

The second was a wedding. It was a lovely venue was set up to optimize the view of the pond. The reception was meet with fans and bug spray. The bride was beautiful and complemented by the location. Relaxed with a rural eastern shore atmosphere.

If you are looking for sporting clay shoot try Pintail but consider renting a cart. It is a a nice walk on a cool day but not one a hit one. If you want a rustic -rural wedding venue, take a look.

I participated in the Blasting for the Brave event. The well kept clays course was park like with a wide variety of targets from confidence-building to challenging. The lunch afterwards was exceptional featuring craft beer, wine, seafood appetizers and Mission BBQ. The desserts looked outstanding but alas I did not leave room. It was a memorable day and I have every intention of visiting Pintail Point again.

At Pintail Point with a large group. Some had gone clay shooting, golfing or fishing so there were portable showers available. We started with hors d'oeuvres and drinks. For those of us who don't drink, there was only ice tea and lemonade available. NO DIET DRINKS! After a long day, you think they would at least have sodas and diet drinks available. We had dinner served family style. Very good. We enjoyed crab cakes, hamburgers, clams (a large quantity were not open), chicken and shrimp (if you were fortunate to get any - they were all taken before I got them). Potato salad and salad were also served. Dessert was fresh fruit and chocolate sauce. Would have enjoyed small portions of cake or mousse. Sun was very bright and with eating outside, more shade would have been appreciated - no tent. Entertainment was very enjoyable. All in all, a nice place for a banquet.

We were lucky enough to win a night stay at the manor house and a day full of shooting with a lesson from a well trained instructor. Jim and Cindy were gracious enough to donate a wonderful night stay along with the shooting of sporting clays. I can't express enough how enjoyable this weekend was and how we were treated like royally while staying at this beautiful mansion. Jim and Cindy made us a dinner that would only be served at the best restaurants that I know I couldn't afford. They made us so much food that we had to take some of it home and had a meal the next day. They normally only do this for large groups or corporate events which is too bad for anyone else who would like the best of everything. The shooting was so incredibly enjoyable and the staff made us first trimmers feel very comfortable and they were more than willing to give helpful tips if asked.

Thank you Jim and Cindy and we will visit again for sure!!!

Wife and I were on MD Eastern Shore for a few days of relaxation. Wide expressed an interest in shooting clay pigeons so our hotel in St. Michaels - Inn at Perry Cabin - recommended we check out Pintail. On Monday's and Tuesday's they are by appointment only so we booked a lesson and 50 targets. We opted for the 20 gauge versus the 12 for the misses to save her shoulder. After some brief instruction they take you out on their course - maybe a dozen or so stations that have different looks at the targets. We moved between stations with a golf cart but it can easily be walked. Wife got one on her first station and after the first 3 or 4 stations (approx. 5 shots per station) our hit rate was 60 to 70%. Seems pretty good for a new sport. The instructor was very patient, let's you take your time and gives you feedback on every shot to help you adjust. Probably took 50-55 shots and we were our for about an hour and a half. The grounds at Pintail are gorgeous, some water, open fields, a few areas with corn and a nice backdrop of trees in the distance. They really have a great set up and make sure you have a good experience - which is basically knocking clay pigeons out of the sky. We would definitely go back and try again
