I've always wanted to go to this life saving museum. We finally got there. Go planning to read and imagine what it was like. Great displays, pictures and actual boats. Those people who worked this station so long ago were amazing. Such hard work. The displays really help you see what it was like. Loved the display of prizes you... More

I had always wanted to visit this museum but never had the chance. This past weekend I had my opportunity. For $3 I wasn't actually expecting much....I got much more!!! The history of lifesaving in the area was well covered...it had a small sampling of aquatic life....it had a nice collection of memorabilia that highlights the history of the boardwalk.....and... What a great little museum! I have been by this museum a million times and never taken the time to explore it. It is a great value at $3 and you can use an internet coupon for a free admission when you buy one. I loved the upstairs part that pays homage to the boardwalk and especially the display for... Easy to find right on the edge of the boardwalk. Good explanations of life saving history and techniques. But I spent the most time examining about 75 little cups full of sand from beaches all over the globe. Real fun to compare and contrast your location with others, many varieties and colors.

I enjoyed this museum immensely because there were a LOT of life size displays with plenty of detailed information about the service and people. There was even an area upstairs that lets kids try their hands at saving a stuffed animal. You should allow at least an hour.

This hidden treasure of a museum is located at the end of the boardwalk by the Inlet. We received free passes this summer which were good anytime. In addition to life-saving exhibits this museum has exhibits on the beginning of OC, history of the boardwalk, video of major hurricanes that hit the area and lots of other memorabilia. I believe... Have visited this museum lots of times. It really shows you how Ocean City started with pictures and artifacts from years gone by. It's a true history of Ocean City Maryland.

I have lived here all of my life but have never visited the museum. I took advantage of the local appreciation weekend for free admission. There is a lot of reading involved so it would be hard to keep children interested. I especially enjoyed the sand display, the life saving room and all of the OC memorabilia. Thanks for keeping... This small but very complete museum is well worth a visit. It has two floors of display space with a narrow steep stairwell going up to the second level. There are interactive displays as well as actual life saving equipment from the past. This museum is a treasure trove of history of the local area. They also have a nice... More

Nice museum. On the smaller side but enough to see. If you have some spare time might as well go take a look.
