When it first opened, PB Dye's greens were diabolical. But they have been re-graded in recent years and the course is much more playable than it used to be. Excellent practice areas/range for warm up. Definitely worth trying out if you haven't played it yet. But again, choose the right tees; don't be silly.

I don't play golf. Never have and probably never will. That said, PB Dye is my absolute favorite place to enjoy a beverage with a beautiful view outside. Most restaurants in Frederick, if they have outdoor seating, face a parking lot. PB Dye is gorgeous, the food is good, and the prices are great for their drinks. The staff is... More

Challenging, beautiful and friendly. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful, the course was challenging and beautiful. Lots of blind shots and sand. The greens had just been aerated, so we couldn't judge how they normally roll. We probably would have had higher scores if they were running true and dry. Nice veranda to sit out and relax... More

The tee boxes were burned out this summer and are still in terrible conditions. The fairways are overrun with weeds and dirt patches. The greens were aerated one week ago and have not heeled properly.

A new Superintendent was hired and hopefully next summer will be a lot better. But in the meantime, don't pay a lot to play (we paid $39), because the tee boxes are in really bad shape, fairways are ok and most important, greens were ok as well.

I mistakenly signed up for what I thought was a scramble tournament, only to find out that it was just a shotgun start to regular weekend golf BEFORE the actual scramble. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who thought this. I played the course years ago, and wasn't crazy about it then. Now it's horrible. There is diseased grass everywhere,... More

Beautiful and well-maintained course with a few exceptions here and there. Staff were terrific and my wife and I enjoyed a quiet Monday round of golf. This said, PBD is not my favorite style of course. Many of the tee shots are blind. This is not too big a problem as most of these shots lead to generous landing areas.... More

Scheduled our round on Last Minute Golf for about half the cost of booking directly with the course ($51). The bag drop was staffed with very attentive employees, the clubhouse staff was friendly, efficient and welcoming. Range balls were included and unlike most, they were set up to let you tee off the grass instead of mats. Starter gave us... More

No time to visit Scotland`s Fife Coast? Come here instead. This amazing course, nestled peacefully in the gorgeous MD countryside is lovingly nurtured by Billy Cullum and his amazing team. My 10 year old son and I teamed up with a local single (thanks for your course knowledge and friendship Joe) and trotted our way around this gem on a... More

The course is usually a good value but today, Father's Day, they charged $94 dollars. No range balls included, no GPS. The worst part was they decided of all days to spray the course for a fungus which meant that it was cart paths only. The whole day. Again on Father's Day?!?!?!? One of the busiest days of the year... More
