The memorial is located on a small point near the Concord Lighthouse, but is not obvious from the road. The onyx black marble stones are stunning and most appropriate to convey the message of respect for those who served their country. The matching black benches and well maintained gardens add to the beauty and serenity of the site.

This memorial pays tribute to the losses sustained by a family who loses a military member. Simple in design but very touching.

We came upon this memorial on a stroll through the path along the water by the Concord Point lighthouse. It was dedicated to families of armed forces members who sacrificed their lives for our country. Definitely worth a visit.

Memorial to Gold Star Families featuring the symbolism of patriotism, family, and sacrifice. The explanation of the memorial is nice. The missing soldier is very touching, and when looking through the memorial one sees the lighthouse in the background - a fitting tribute to our gold star families.

This memorial is located in the park where the Concorde Lighthouse is. Very contemporary and abstract, yet moving memorial to those who have lost their lives in war.

If you are walking and visiting the Lighthouse area, the memorial is located at the point near the start (or the end depending on you are coming or going) of the promenade. It is a new memorial dedicated to falling soldiers but also a tribute to the left behind families. If you have some connection and relationship to the people and the area, it is worth to stop and pay tribute or to visit. Other than that, a nice place to take a few photos to remember that you visit the place.

Maybe if you had a personal reason to care about the monument you would find it meaningful. Otherwise, there's not much here, although what is here is nicely done.

A Somber memorial on the shore front near the Concord Point Lighthouse to not just the armed service members but also to the families left behind. A pretty cool memorial and thought provoking as well. Worth a quick stop for reflection.

While walking along the Concord Promenade, you will come upon the Gold Star Memorial. There are four panels to the memorial: one is indicative of the service members homeland, the second is in remembrance of families who were left behind, the third represents patriotism indicated by the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima, and the fourth panel is for the sacrifice made to protect the liberties we enjoy today. It is an impressive memorial.
