Well Managed
So, I usually don't review bridges... but we pulled up just as it opened, and with a sigh, we resigned ourselves to being there a while. The boat passed, the bridge closed, and off we went in no time. Also, nice amount of space off lane, which was good as a car had been abandoned on the span and traffic had plenty of room to go around. Well done for the town!

Don’t blink you’ll miss it

Non-eventful but kinda cool statue/monument. Nothing to write home about and you’ll never see it on a postcard.

Couples
Don’t Get Excited as there is absolutely nothing to see here so don’t waste your time. Can’t even begin to imagine why it has a spot on Trip Advisor?

Rt 50 detour
We stopped by quite by accident. Rt 50 WB happened to be closed due to an accident, so we swung over to MD18 and got to see the drawbridge. It was nice to see it still operational and working. I don't know that this would be a MUST SEE place, but it certainly was cool to show the kids.

Historical landmark in Kent Island
Solo
The Watermen’s Memorial Drawbridge (Kent Narrows) is considered a landmark because, for many years, it is the only bridge to link Kent Island to the Maryland Eastern shore. It is also a draw bridge to allow passage for boats to go to the Bay via the Narrow canal. Now the new bridge was built to replace the old one, the old one was rename to honor the watermen of Maryland. The bridge is still function.
