Mount St. Mary's is right on RT15 northern Frederick County about 14 miles from Gettysburg PA. Smallish college in a nice area, set against the Catactin Mountains. Not much to do in the area, there are a couple college type bars in downtown Emmitsburg MD....More

We stopped to see Mount St. Mary's campus and visit the beautiful Immaculate Conception Chapel that is near the seminary building. It's a lovely, large chapel with a beautiful sanctuary, stained glass windows, wood-carved stations of the cross and wooden pews. So serene and prayerful.

Very nice campus. Quiet place, the golden Mary statue is an amazing thing. I have been on numerous occasions and it is great.

A spectacular collection of old buildings form the foundation of this campus. If you are interested in in old buildings and architecture it is worth a stop.
