We loved the restored Cover Bridge. It is worth going even if off your path. Just a gem. We read a negative review from a local somewhere telling people to drive over to Pennsylvania to see Covered Bridges. I can not imagine why he’d say...More

This is one of the best things to do when in the area. Not many covered bridges left in Maryland and the family always like going to check it out. Has been restored and has a nice dam below to sit and have lunch.

Well kept by donations and concerned citizens - one of Cecil County's beautiful spots - hoping those that stop and visit appreciate and respect the place - so far they seem to be doing that.

I live around the corner from this bridge and was dismayed that around a million dollars was spent "refurbishing" this bridge to nowhere. So, if you want to see a covered bridge that was almost completely rebuilt recently, I guess it's worth it? There are...More

Passed by this bridge on numerous occasions and have stopped on a few to take photos. It sits off MD 272 on the way to Oxford, PA. Very peaceful location to just look at the bridge and pond. It is well maintained.

The bridge is strictly a historic site and not open to vehicle traffic. Limited parking but it's not very busy and there is no fee to enjoy a look. Pull over, stretch a bit and get a close look. It's one of few remaining covered...More

It is definitely nostalgic to see a covered bridge but disconcerting to see it set up as the bridge to nowhere. The highway is about 25 feet to the side of the bridge so the bridge serves no purpose. I find it more interesting when...More
