We were in town to have lunch with family and stumbled upon this little gem. We enjoyed learning about the history of the canal. We only spent about a half hour going through but you could've stayed longer.

It, and just about every other place a visitor would want to go to in Cumberland, was closed on Sunday. The sole exception was Cafe Mark for Sunday brunch, but it too closed after 1pm.

National Park has a great museum to visit and learn about the area and C & O Canal. Fascinating to learn how the boats were built and how families lived on them almost their entire lives. Must visit.
