We were hiking the Fisherman's Walk and it came to the Cliff Walk and we continued on. The Cliff Walk if more difficult because it's fraught with roots, rocks, pieces of cut metal posts, some slightly washed out areas, changes in incline, and poison ivy. The views are great, however, and just be sure to not lose focus of where you're walking. Warning signs are posted, along with signs reminding you to stay on the trail, stay off of private property, and beware of any poison ivy. Some parts of this walk are concrete, other parts are just rocky and dirt. It's nice to be able to extend your Fisherman's Walk walk and continue on the Cliff Walk. This activity is free and has very scenic views.

Wonderful views. A little treacherous in some spots but lended to the excitement. Not for small children or those with disabilities. Very rocky.

Beautiful walk! Short and easy to do with kids. We have been twice and it wasn’t too crowded either time. I would recommend if you are in the area! Parking can be a little tricky - limited parking.

Very special place. Awesome views, cool path! Seems odd, at times, walking behind waterfront homes, but we highly recommend.

While some reviews seem to indicate this as a must-do, it's a little bit of a let down especially after doing the Marginal Way walk in Ogunquit. This path leaves from the north side of York Harbor Beach parking. (The lot is resident only but you can park for free by the nearby park.)
It seems like the city is discouraging use of the path. It's overgrown in spots, signs for poison ivy and dangerous path, yellow police tape up in one section that is partially washed away and there are a few sections where you need to be careful.
It is scenic and probably worth checking out if you are in York but I wouldn't go out of my way to do this path.

This cliff walk is less than a mile but beware of rough terrain and poison ivy. Do not venture off the trail. Nice views of the ocean!

Yesterday we took our usual drive to York, Maine. The weather was stunning and the town was literally empty for some reason. We walked on our beloved Cliff Walk, then had picnic in the park, and drove to the Long Beach for a longer walk. Cliff Walk is so gorgeous now: the lilacs are in bloom - purple, pink, white… they smell like heaven. It was fun to be there during high tide and see the drama of the rocks and crashing waves. The walk on a small beach was lovely as always.
Parking was plentiful and the restaurants were opened.

Very scenic and beautiful views. This is not an easy walk. If you have knee, back, back, feet or hip issues this is not the hike for you. It has many roots in the ground , rocks and ups and downs along the path. A very narrow path where you will occasionally have to stop to let on-comers by because the same path is for both directions. If you are able this is a very scenic cliff walk but also a hazardous cliff walk. A trip or slip in the wrong direction could be a painful drop. Railing in some sections but. It all. We can’t wait to do it again 😀

This is a beautiful walk— but more like a hike. It could be difficult if you’re not steady on feet. It wasn’t hard but parts were uneven and narrow. Also…gps tells you to turn into a private drive..oops.

I am not familiar with the area, where do I find the Cliff walk...

Actually it is formally known as The Marginal Way, NOT the cliff walk. The Bush Family Compound@Walker's Point is just north of OGT in Kennebunkport and they are often seen strolling "Ther Way"

How long is cliff walk
Bill B
Bedford, NH18 contributions
The Cliff Walk is not that long, about 20 minutes each way at a reasonable pace. Wear good shoes as the path is not uniform in terms the surface. There are parts that are flat with good footing and other areas where it is rocky and uneven. The views are worth the effort. Hope this helps.
