We didn't see many birds or wildlife, but it was a pleasant walk around the salt marsh preserve. The path is wide and flat, and there is a brochure that explains each of the viewpoints along the way.

Can't miss the 1 mile walk on the Rachel Carson trail. You'll walk around a tidal marsh with picturesque views of the marsh and ocean beyond. It's peaceful and beautiful and a great way to spend a bit of time when you're ready for a...More

We took our kids ages 8 and 10 for a hike through here. It is a well marked, relatively flat trail through the woods. We were able to easily complete it under 45 minutes. The scenery was beautiful. A great free activity if you can...More

The walk here is not too long, the trail is well maintained, and the views are beautiful. In addition, the information at each stop is educational and helps you to learn about the area.

This is about as good as it gets. The scenery is beautiful, the path is easy and wheel chair friendly, and there are benches placed strategically along the approximate one mile walk. If you're interested in nature, be sure and pick up a brochure before...More

We had fun walking with our toddlers. The parking was a little tight, not sure where people can park when the lot is full, but I guess the turnover is pretty quick. The views are nice and the path is wide enough for the double...More

The NWR is in wells Maine. There are three sites within 5 miles. Sea vu, wells beach resort, moody beach rv camping. We didn't get to go but went to ogunquit Maine. I'm sure some around there as well.
