Definitely watch your step! Lots of roots, moss and beauty! It is a rustic setting and if you park at the first parking spot on the left you'll have to walk down the road you have just traveled to get to the hiking path. We...More

There are many trail combinations in the Preserve! We chose the longest....about 1.3 miles. Although there are hundred of roots which made it very important to watch your footing it was overall a great experience on a beautiful day! There was very little change in...More

This preserve is absolutely charming. The trails follow the rugged shore and go through the spruce forest as well. It is our first choice. Also it is dog freindly

Nice easy to moderate hike with lots of woods and ocean views. Love the coves around every corner in this part of Maine.

One of the best walks we did. Beautiful changing sceneries of water views and moss covered woods. The Maine heritage trust did a great job in marking the trails. We saw a seal and enjoyed fantastic views. Limited parking, come early!

Our family (ages 9 to 62) enjoyed the east loop of this hike. It is easy enough for all ages and there were so many great views at every turn! Beautiful shoreline views, foliage, and some great history toward the end of the loop with...More
