While on our adventure up the east coast, Portland Breakwater Light was on our list of lighthouses to see. It is also known as Bug Light. We had just left the Spring Point Ledge Light which is very close by. Our GPS had a really hard time finding Bug Light though. It tried to take us across the water instead... More

This was part of our tour of lighthouses and it was just as nice as the others. Worth seeing all of the houses.

Quaint little lighthouse out on a "breakwater" that you can walk out to. It's located inside of a park and the views from the property are picturesque.

This was a nice visit, a quiet break from the activities of the rest of the city. It doesn't require a lot of time, but you can come, walk around, and enjoy the views.

Very nice light house. You could get close for photos. Roses everywhere. We also walked thru Fort Williams. Nice info all around.

It was quite refreshing and pleasant experience. Away from the hustle and bustle of crowded city life. Great place for kids too.

We had hoped to climb a lighthouse. This did not present that opportunity, but it was beautiful and the park surrounding the lighthouse was great. Good to see, nice surroundings. Seems to be a favorite with most folks. It's small, as in short. Good to include in a trip.

I didn't realize how much transformation had occurred on the Maine coastline. The lighthouse is beautiful as is the spectacular view of Portland.

This was our 4th lighthouse in the same day and was our favorite -- it being so cute! Very accessible in Bug Light Park. Great views and perfect for our picnic dinner.

Great photo opportunities, picnics or just a stroll along the shore. Benches along the walking path.
