This beach is great EXCEPT that the parking is a huge problem, at high tide there is no beach, and the residents act like they own the beach - which THEY do not!!!! So make sure you know when high tide is, otherwise go to...More

Go at low-tide to have enough beach to walk on. The waves were crashing, surfers were out, very picturesque. It's a small vacation home area, so it's a little tricky getting to a place beachside to park, but don't give up -- you can do...More

Relatively quiet and sandy beach at which I swam and took interesting walks along the water including to the remains of a shipwreck and a bird sanctuary for the endangered piping plover. I would highly recommend.

Our first trip to Higgins Beach will NOT be our last. Waves for body- or real-surfing, limited crowds, and plenty of room to stroll. This is a real gem.
