Fun mountain!! We were able to have a great 2 hr. snowboard lesson for our daughter and niece-fantastic value...and watch a State Championship in Nordic ski with their community-so much fun! Really cute design, fun trails and the tubing is a lot of fun with unlimited time!

What a ME gem! Fast, fun, and well groomed slopes well into the Spring. My only regret is not coming earlier in the year when the glad area had more cover.

A hidden gem, for sure! Excellent terrain, clean lodge, friendly staff, and just a fun mountain. We will definitely be back. We took advantage of the LL Bean $15 Friday with friends. All 4 of us were very pleased.

We really have enjoyed Black Mountain in the past. When we went this time, it was just myself and my husband, leaving the kids at home. Black Mountain did a great job of labeling things for Covid in bright pink signs. We got ready in our car and were able to park right there. It was really warm most of the week but when we went, the temps dropped. They were grooming the trails which was good. After we walked the walkway with our skis and boots, we had to go down stairs that was all ice. Not safe. When we first went to get on the lift, it was pure ice. Ok, well maybe they will put snow on it or something later, we thought. They didn't. Going down the trails, it was crusty and icy most of it. Ok, well we will find other trails. Nope, they were the same. Ok, so maybe today isn't the day for skiing. We will wait for better snow. My husband is a beginner, and had a terrible experience skiing on ice like that before. He was not comfortable skiing on conditions like that. Not Black Mountains fault, that's just Mother Nature. We only were on the trails and chairlifts for an hour. We gave each lift a couple tries each, trying different trails. Half of the mountain was closed, with the easier trails so that meant my husband had to do the trails that were steeper with ice. We asked for a refund, or a credit or something. We only spent $25/per person. We would have come back. They said "no, and they can't control the temperature." That was very disappointing to us. We hardly ever turn away when we go skiing. We went skiing at another mountain with our children and it was really icy. We should have turned away but we didn't. We went through a traumatizing situation that day. We weren't going to remake that day at Black Mountain so we decided to leave because of safety. Black Mountain wouldnt do anything for us that day. Other mountains do for conditions. We were disappointed that they weren't helpful for their customers and they lost a family of 4 over $50. It isn't about the money, it is about the concept. We won't be back. We will explore the other mountains.

I've been coming to Black Mtn since I was kid and have been so very impressed by the way it has grown while maintaining a great family atmosphere. The grooming and snow making are outstanding and the mountain staff is always friendly and helpful. This is the first time I'd been there in approx 10 years (and the first time for my wife) and I was as pleased as always. I look forward to returning for a few more outings this winter. Also, I have recommended Black to many of my friends, especially those with kids.

This was a great hill for my son to learn to ski on. Buying tickets and ski rental online was a breeze. ! We are lunch in the lodge - excellent! Covid 19 rules in the lodge were VERY good! Tables were clean and sanitized after each use. We had a great experience all around!

They were very organized and followed tight protocols as far as enforcing mask wearing. All trails were clearly labeled (including those with thin cover). Line for lift moved swiftly! Great experience!

Seeing how Black Mt has grown. Learned to ski here back in the late 60’s 70’s.. 53 years later not disappointed. This will be our Friday place to Ski.
