We love playing 9 holes (or 18 depending on the day) at Mt Kineo. The hikes are also beautiful. For those with the energy a hike to the top is definitely worth it. The fire tower has an incredible view and on a clear day you can see to Canada. Tip: pack a lunch and go swimming at pebble beach.... More

Rented motor boat and cruised the lake and fished. Got very rough on lake in afternoon, so had to come back early. Great day anyway!

The water taxi was a lovely ride on smooth water. The operator was very congenial & informative about the area & amenities available to those of us not hiking. My husband climbed to the fire tower at some points on all fours. For a 75 year old , he thought it was just a mild challenge. While I sat on... More

This is one of my favorite hikes in the Moosehead Lake region. It has stellar views and its a perfect length. I suggest taking Indian Trail up and Bridle down. The Indian Trail, although steep at first, is only .5 miles before it joins the less challenges Bridle trail. At the summit, you must take a trip to the top... More

Mount Kineo is a must do if you are visiting the Moosehead Lake region. Catch a water taxi out to it. The hike is relatively easy for most. A fire tower at the peak has the most amazing panoramic views. Take walk over to pebble beach so you can take in the cliff face.

My husband and I don't do much hiking anymore so this was quite a workout for us. But we took our time and made it to the summit. This was worth it all. The views are awesome.Worth every huff and puff

We got a private tour of the mountain by a pontoon boat. What a majestic view. The rock formations carved by the retreating glaciers have designed art. Only eyesore is a golf course at the base

Almost didn't go based on other reviews 'cause we're not hikers (at all). Little 10min shuttle boat over to the island sponsored by the golf course there. $12 round trip. There's a nice little trail around the base of the mountain with beautiful views. We took a quick hop over to the island and caught the shuttle back 1.5hrs later.... More
