Who knew adorable puffins were hunted to near-extinction for their feathers, down to a single breeding pair? Lots of displays and models of many other sea birds besides puffins; a well informed docent answers questions. Good for an enlightening, short break from the consumerism of...More

Although this is a small place we found the movie about the efforts to restore puffins to the coast of Maine very informative. Wish they had had more things in the gift shop for our grandkids.

Great way to learn about various birds and raise awareness of how to care for the environment. We didn't watch the movie so we were there for less than 15 minutes.

Absolutely the highlight of our grand daughter's visit to Maine. We had been out and saw the island and on this visit to the Center she learned more about the Puffins and joined the club. It was well worth it. My only wish is that...More
