We love The Strand! It may not be a multiplex, but it is a community treasure that offers first run films, independent films, Live in HD shows from the Metropolitan Opera in NYC and elsewhere, and live performances and lectures. Seating is comfortable, and there...More

Beautifully restored venue that gives you the "old movie" experience with new movies, technology and comfort. It also doubles a live stage featuring some great performers.

Great downtown location, the Strand feels like a classic. It offers movies as well as performances. Butter machine wasn't working, but the popcorn was good enough as is.

The Strand has come along way since it's renovation from a two screen movie theater. Every show I've gone to has been fabulous. What I love is the intimacy of it. Maybe as I'm getting older I appreciate the smaller venues more. It's very nostalgic....More
