The observatory offers a beautiful 360° view of the area, at least on a sunny day. I visited on Labor Day and the place was not too busy. If it ever is, I guess you can expect some waiting time as there is only one...More

During my recent trip to Bucksport, ME, my wife and I stopped to check out the Observatory Deck on the top of the West tower of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. While it is not " new " (the PNBridge was opened in late 2006), we...More

My spouse is more interested in the engineering aspects and chose our drive of the day to include this bridge. It is amazing to see, and to pull off and look back. We wished we had our boat with us as we found a public...More

The award-winning Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory was a stunning architecture. The views up there were amazing. It is a must see. Don’t forget to see the Fort Knox too.

Stop and visit the fort before the bridge. Then, take the elevator and stairs to the top of the tower and look out over the landscape. What an amazing view compared to what you see from the fort. I want to return in the fall.

Loved it. What a view. I especially like the 360 view. You can see the foot print in the rock quite well.

The view is nice. The ticket price includes the observatory and the nearby fort knox. The view from observatory is nice but the fort is not worth the ticket price.

It was worth the stop. A short elevator ride up and then an amazing view. If you are in the area you should pop in!

This is a beautiful and unique bridge all by itself. We crossed it on the way to somewhere else and saw the sign for the observatory. The walkway from the parking lot has lovely views but the view from the top (yes! There's an elevator!)...More
