What a phenomenal way to see Peaks Island and an alternative look at Portland. The ferry cost my family of 4 only $15 (kids were free) and we got to enjoy the ferry ride to the island, a leisurely walk on Peaks Island, and a great ride back. My w-year old daughter LOVED being on a larger boat, and the... More

We loved the ferry ride to Peak Island. Casco Bay ferries were very user friendly and the day was perfect. A definite highlight of our trip to Maine. The 30 minute ride was just enough.

The Casco Bay Ferryline if the best way to see the island of Maine. We were transported to Peaks Island on a cloudy day but that did not diminish our view of the bay or the surrounding islands. We rented a golf cart to tour the island and visited the museums and natural sites at our leisure. We had lunch... More

We took the Bailey's Island trip and enjoyed the excellent historical tidbits about Casco Bay that were shared by the captain along the way. The route wound through a number of the lovely islands off Portland, enroute to Bailey's Island. Part of the trip involves getting dropped off on Bailey's Island for lunch at a local restaurant featuring seafood cuisine... More

Casco Bay Lines is a great way to see the island of Casco Bay. You can take the mailboat ride for a good look at the different islands. Take a bicycle and go for a day trip to one of the islands such as Chebeague Island. Peaks Island on Sunday afternoon for some reggae music. A good value and lots... More

What better way to see the beauty of coastal Maine than from the deck of a ship! The Casco Bay Line company offers a variety of cruise lengths and prices. For $26 dollars per person we spent a wonderful day listening to the captain describe the history of Casco Bay. We cruised pass lighthouses, forts, and 19th-century summer colonies, and... More

Great service overall, just not for me. A fun day trip. If you dream of living on an island, check the ferry schedule.

We took a ferry to peak island the ride was safe and exciting!! The island is beautiful to explore. You can rent bikes and go riding around island. You can visit the beaches. Bring a picnic or eat at restaurants. They leave and arrive on time. Being a holiday weekend it wasn't to bad being over crowded! I recommend it!... More

Stunning views of the islands! We took the 2hr boat ride around the islands to see parts of Maine we normally wouldn't see. This great for all ages. There is an interior area that offers plenty of shade, but if you like being outside stay towards the front of the boat. Our captain gave us a brief history as we... More

We were roasting in the July heat on the mainland, so we took a late afternoon ferry to Peaks Island for about an hour and loved it. The ferry ride itself was beautiful and showed the gorgeous scenery of Casco Bay. Highly recommend walking to the scenic beach area on the far side of Peaks Island.
